I had the pleasure of working at Shining Stars as an instructor therapist. Shining Stars is not just an exceptional organization for children in need, but a great place for practitioners to learn and develop. As a fresh graduate feeling lost and nervous in the workplace, Ms. Rania and everyone working at Shining Stars helped me tremendously. My son who is 5 has been attending Shining Stars since July 2024. Our experience so far has been very good in the past 2 months given that transitions can be complicated. Rania and her team have been communicative with regards to my son's program and goals and we have been provided with ISP reports and monthly progress meetings, which we find helpful. Rania is approachable if we need to be in touch with her during the daytime and this is of utmost importance for us as we are very involved parent who are 100% committed to our son's success and the fact that our son is enrolled here full-time! We are also somewhat knowledgeable (given that I am a health care provider myself) so we expect a high standard of service to be provided for our son at all times. We went to Shining Stars about 6 months ago, and our 8 year old son with high functioning autism was miserable. They consistently undermined him and refused to focus on what he really needed, which was tutoring for school. When we tried to talk to them, they not only lied to us, but tried to blame our son, who was left extremely insecure from the experience. They've also hid negative reviews, as our reviews have been gone from Google.

I did volunteer hours here and it wasn’t good. The little kids were either being yelled at or not taken care of when they needed something or were in distress. Also, they DID NOT record my volunteer hours so now I have to find someplace else to do them and start all over again at 0 hours. Please do not be manipulated or fooled by the 5 star reviews, they are mostly the employees who mentally or verbally abused the kids there. I am definitely NOT going back there, and if I have to for more volunteer hours, that will suck. Also, yes, to those who didn’t know, they ARE deleting negative reviews and leaving only the positive ones because they don’t want to admit to their illegal activity. As for instance, I knew a kid there named Yanush (had Cerebral Palsy), poor kid had to sit there from 9am til 4pm being yelled at and ridiculed by his “therapist” and I felt so bad. Please do not send your kids here, it’s…let’s just say… a horrible rollercoaster ride…
