Real little gem of a place. Cats are well loved and well looked after. I went to adopt a pair, but I wasn’t over fussy. There were three pairs but 2 had already been adopted. The pair of brothers left were adorable, but needed a special diet which I’m not sure I could afford to maintain. Then next door to them I saw another cat and her kitten. The Kitten was going back home but 2 year old mum needed a home. We bonded immediately. Nala.
I brought her home the next day (my choice) and the sanctuary were really good at ensuring I had all I needed.
A couple of little things left me a bit perplexed, eg, i paid my donation but they kept my receipt till I picked her up, and I wouldn’t have been shown Nala if I hadn’t specifically asked. I’d gone for “ideally a couple” but was open to only 1. So pleased she was just next door and my friend asked about her kitten. I feel if I’d not persisted a bit more I’d have come away empty handed and Nala still seeking a home.
That said, the staff were incredibly perceptive. I think they know genuine cat people when they see them and btw, the donation may seem steep at first but what is included with the whole package is an absolute bargain.

To the reviews complaining the website is still showing cats since adopted - I’d rather a sanctuary looked after the cats than the website. The fact they are quickly adopted says a lot about the place. I too saw cats online I would like, but if you truly are a cat lover (or any pet) you don’t choose it online. That gives you an idea. You know who you’re going to get when you see them. Online I could e taken a pair, but they weren’t right for me or me for them. Nala and me are perfectly matched. It has to be in person if at all possible.
Nala has been home almost 2 weeks now and we are inseparable. So happy. Thankyou cats paws. Please support them. I’ll be dropping stuff off there in future!

Wonderful cat sanctuary, lovely people. So caring about their charges I've adopted two pud tats from them today and I cannot fault their commitment to finding the right homes for their rescued cats. Brilliant. Thank you

I am sure they love and care for the cats but I don't see how they are able to re-home them as most of the cats shown as needing homes are already adopted. I phoned to enquire about adopting a couple of weeks ago and each cat I asked about was gone. I suggested updating their website but they are still now showing the non existent cats.

We adopted our gorgeous boy from Cats Paws in February. They made everything so easy and they obviously do a wonderful job of looking after the cats. They are there if we need help and it's so comforting having that support.
