I had used friendly 7 yrs ago with victor giving me a quote for a new unit back then. There pricing is higher than most but everything was done and the unit only lasted 7 years.as the compressor died 8/24. He came out and diagnosed the problem saying my comp was fried charging me 140. For this diagnosisvisit, higher than most usually 99 to 125. . So he gave me two quotes the warranty covered the parts but not the Freon @100a pound x10to15 lbs making the repair to expenses he also quoted me on a new comp. At 4500.$. So I got another quote from a super reliable guy who came out and changed the unit in 1hr &20min. Works fine and I saved 1,300.00 . Plus when I took the cover off there friendly never grounded the compressor. Also confirmed.by new company. So no ground . Victor or Ron never metered the unit & never saw they never grounded it .so did this cause the short to ground ?

Please do your research and ask a lot of questions if considering Friendly AC. I had them install what I thought was a brand new Carrier AC unit in 2019. In 2020, 2023 and 2024 the compressor failed. They sold me a builders grade AC unit. How does a brand new unit require 3 new compressors in the span of 5 years? After doing some searching, I noticed other people that used their service experienced the same. Never again!

COURT JUDGMENT AGAINST FRIENDLY AC!!

UPDATE 10/31/24 - Friendly AC continues to not make good on its responsibility to pay this court judgment (see below). We have not seen a penny from them after 6 long years. It’s unbelievable that anyone would continue to use them.

I will update this review when we are paid the full court ordered judgment and court stated interest. If you don’t see an update, they are still in default.

In response to ”Response From the Owner” of July 2019 - There were no miscommunications about timelines or issues with financing. The owner is trying to give a vague response to our post to mislead potential new customers. The facts are - we won a court judgment against Friendly AC on 10/30/18 and we still have not been paid. That is not doing “everything we can to stay open and honest,” as the owner stated below.

We complete every job we take on to the best of our ability, and we make sure those we’re working with are on board with everything we do. UPDATE 5/5/19 - We took Friendly AC to court for our experience below. We won the case and were awarded 100% of our claim from the loss that they caused us. It has now been over 6 months since the judgment in our favor and Friendly AC has yet to pay us what we are legally owed. See copy of judgment in pictures. Would you want to do business with a company that does not hold up their end of the agreement and then even after a court has ordered them to pay, still does not make it right? If anything changes, we will update this post.

These guys don't pull permits as required so nobody knows that they didn't do what they were supposed to. Then when their mistakes are discovered they stop communicating with you and abandon the job leaving you stuck to hire someone else to fix their mistakes.
Stay away, stay far away from these guys!

I used them twice. The first one was a replacement system and they should have pulled a permit but they didn't. I didn't find out until 9 months later when I had a problem with the second AC I hired them for. On the second job I pulled the permit as an owner builder and they installed an AC unit that did not even match the architect's plans. They failed the inspection. When I asked them to step up and fix it they stopped communicating with me and abandoned the job.

Friendly AC service technician, Sean, was very thorough when servicing my AC unit. I called for service for a clogged and leaking drain. I received an appointment the very same day, within 2-3 hours. I even received service tips for preventative maintenance for the service technician. He cleaned up the area before he left.
